CSIA Level 1 Ski Instructor Course
Welcome to ski teaching and the first step toward a rewarding career as a ski instructor! The CSIA Level 1 Certification Course will complement your passion for the sport of skiing and help you to learn simple approaches to teaching with the goal of helping your student’s become life-long skiers. In this fun and exciting program, you will be introduced to basic lesson plans for beginner and intermediate skiers and the Canadian Teaching Approach. During the Level 1 Course, you will also receive suggestions and strategies for your long-term development and gain insight into the next steps in the certification pathway. The Level 1 Ski Instructor Certification is for any skier over the age of 14 that is a confident parallel skier. During the program, you can expect to be exposed to a variety of terrain, snow conditions and opportunities to practice ski teaching. CSIA Level 1 is a pre-requisite for the CSIA Level 2 Certification. Through guidance from your Course Conductor and participation with your fellow Level 1 Candidates, you will be exposed to the concepts below: Learning Outcomes: - The Role of the Ski Pro - Safe Teaching – Safety, Risk and Responsibility - Teaching Children - Lesson Planning - Canadian Ski Technique – The 5 Skills

3) Unless there are other uncontrollable factors involved, such as computer system issues preventing registration completion, extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, or if relevant instructors or examiners are unable to attend the course due to accidents, the relevant course can be postponed or changed; otherwise, rescheduling is not permitted.
4) Before or during the course, if a participant feels unwell, gets injured, or for any other reason cannot continue the course, the participant will not be entitled to any refund.
5) This course is a instructor certification course, not a training course. Participants must possess sufficient riding skills, be able to ride steadily at an intermediate riding level or above. During the course, evaluators will assess participants' riding and teaching abilities daily. If at any time evaluators find that a participant fails to meet the minimum riding proficiency, for safety reasons, evaluators have the right to terminate the participant's continued participation in the course, and the participant will not be entitled to any refund.
6) The company reserves the right to cancel any course and will not be responsible for any expenses incurred by the participant. In this case, registration fees will be refunded in full. If a course is canceled, the company is not responsible for external costs such as travel or hotel fees.
7) All courses have limited spaces available and may fill up before the registration deadline. In this case, the company reserves the right to refuse participants. Please note that the company does not operate waiting lists for courses, and any available spaces will be announced on our website.
